Privacy policy
What we collect through this website, why, who it is shared with, and how to get it changed or deleted.
Last updated: October 23, 2026. This policy covers artificialturfcanada.ca, operated by Shane Heyworth in Caledonia, Ontario. Questions or requests: hello@artificialturfcanada.ca.
What we collect and why
- Turf requests: your name, phone, email, the city or address, the job and anything you tell us about the site. Used to match your request to an installer and to pass it to them.
- Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics records pages viewed and general device information. It does not load unless you click "Allow analytics".
- Visit counts: a first-party counter records which page a visit started on and whether a request was sent, using a random session id. No IP address or personal details are stored with it.
- Newsletter (only if you sign up): your email and the date you agreed, to send the newsletter you asked for.
- Server logs: our hosting keeps standard technical logs for security, for a short period.
Who sees your request
The one installer or supplier we match your request to. They use it to contact you and quote the job, and handle it under their own privacy practices from then on. We do not sell your information to anyone else or add you to a mailing list.
We also use service providers to run the site: our own servers for the database, Discord for internal notifications, and email delivery providers. Some store data in the United States.
How long we keep it
Requests are kept for up to 24 months so we can answer questions about them, then deleted. Unfinished requests are deleted after 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@artificialturfcanada.ca and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
